Busy Media Training start to 2012!

Happy New Year!

What a start to 2012 it has been for us.  Our new January to June open course brochure is ready and has resulted in enquiries from all areas of business from affordable housing to investment banks.

There has never been a more important time to invest in training for your business.  Institute of Directors (IoD) research indicates that increasingly companies are realising the value of training in maintaining their market position. Investing in training is also a really proactive way of boosting staff morale and increasing productivity.

Certainly, the economic climate and the pace at which technology is progressing means that very few companies are able to rely on old fashioned press to get their message across, and those that do need to be spot on with their press releases.

Learn how to handle yourself in the spotlight. If you already have a marketing strategy already in place you will have realised the importance of the engaging the media but may need tips and guidance as to how to achieve it, which is where our Media Awareness training comes in.

Don’t underestimate the power of the media – get insider knowledge by learning from the professionals at Mosaic. On our Media Awareness course, delegates will learn how the media fits into their companies overall marketing strategy and how it can be channelled to better effect.

If you are in a communications role within your organisation or you are likely to have to brief the media at all as part of your job, our Broadcast skills course has your name on it.  We’ve successfully trained many of the leading Comms officers and CEO’s around the UK, ensuring that they are both capable and confident of delivering key messages professionally and succinctly.

Our training is just as applicable to both public and private sector and we’ve trained organisations from the police through to energy companies.

Speaking of a recent Broadcast Skills course, Station Director of Dungeness B Power Station Martin Pearson said “I found the practical elements of the programme hugely valuable in preparing for future radio and tv work.”

Debbie Healy, from North East Essex Primary Care Trust agreed. “Media training with Mosaic was a fantastic day.  Well planned with great content and very useful for future interviews. ”

Of course not all attention from the media is either welcome, timely or good news. A disgruntled ex-employee, workplace accidents or malpractice can leave you fending off the press and broadcast professionals. Would you know what to do if you threw back the curtains to find the media parked on your driveway baying for a soundbite ?

Mosaic CEO Karen Ainley spent many years as a broadcast journalist in pursuit of a story and knows exactly what the do’s and don’t's are in just such a situation. Learn how to deal with issues like this cooly and calmly with our Crisis Management Training.
